Police recovered the body of an unidentified teenager from a lake in the KDA Mayur Residential Area in Harintana of Khulna city on Thursday morning.
The boy, aged around 12–13, was found wearing punjabi and pyjamas. No visible injury marks were found during the primary inspection.
Locals spotted the body floating in the lake around 9am and informed police.
Mohammad Helal Uddin, officer‑in‑charge of Harintana Police Station, said a police team rushed to the scene, recovered the body, and initiated legal procedures.
Authorities are working to establish the boy’s identity. Investigators are cross‑checking records to see if any General Diary has been filed regarding a missing person matching his description.
