A mobile court sentenced three youths to three months’ imprisonment each for consuming drugs at Kasba in Meherpur early Thursday.
The drive led by Gangni Upazila Nirbahi Officer Anwar Hossain was conducted around 12:30am.
The convicts were Sagar Ali, 20, Sipon Ali, 24, and Zahid Hossain, 19. All of them are residents of Hapania village under Alamdanga upazila in Chuadanga.
UNO Anwar said that three packets of cannabis were seized from their possession.
Gangni Police Station Officer‑in‑charge Mohaddis Morshed Chowdhury said the convicts were sent to Meherpur District Jail the same night.
