Standard Islami Bank PLC has provided financial assistance to six patients undergoing treatment for critical diseases under its Corporate Social Responsibility programme.

Acting Managing Director Md Siddiqur Rahman handed over donation cheques to relatives or nominated representatives of the patients at the bank’s head office on 8 June 2026, the bank said in a press release.

The recipients included Md Yasin of Barguna, Md Abu Taleb Dhali of Jashore and Md Azgar Ali of Tangail, who are suffering from cancer. Financial support was also provided to Md Abdullah Shoaib Nur of Gaibandha and Arif Aftab of Habiganj, who are suffering from kidney disease, and to Md Zakaria Hossain of Kishoreganj for spinal cord surgery.

Senior executives of the bank were present at the event.

Standard Islami Bank said it has been actively contributing to humanitarian causes as part of its social responsibility initiatives since its establishment. The bank said it remains committed to standing beside vulnerable people during natural disasters and other difficult circumstances.
