Gas supply will remain suspended for 18 hours in several areas of Dhaka due to pipeline replacement work.
Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited announced the shutdown in a notice on Saturday.
According to the notice, gas supply to all categories of consumers will remain suspended from 11pm on Sunday to 5pm on Monday. The disruption is due to pipeline replacement work.
The affected areas include both sides of the Amin Bazar DRS to Nabinagar highway, Boliarpur, Hemayetpur, Chamra Shilpa Nagari, Singair Road, Fulbaria, Nabinagar, Savar municipality area, Savar Cantonment, Ashulia Bazar, Gouripur, Kumkumari, Rajashon, Kolma and adjoining areas.
Titas Gas authorities said low gas pressure may also be experienced in surrounding areas during the period.
The company expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience caused to consumers.
