Gas supply will remain suspended for 18 hours across Savar, Ashulia, Hemayetpur, the tannery industrial estate and nearby areas from Sunday night due to pipeline replacement work.
In a notice issued on Saturday, the Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited confirmed that the shutdown will begin at 11pm on Sunday and continue until 5pm on Monday (18 May).
During this period, gas supply to all categories of consumers will remain suspended along both sides of the highway from Aminbazar DRS-Nabinagar, including Baliarpur, Hemayetpur, the Leather Industrial area, Singair Road, Fulbaria, Nabinagar, Savar municipality, Savar Cantonment, Ashulia Bazar, Gouripur, Kumkumari, Rajashan, Kolma and nearby localities.
The authorities also cautioned that low gas pressure may affect adjacent areas during the maintenance period.
Titas Gas authorities expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience caused to consumers.
