A recent video featuring Dhallywood actor Siam Ahmed and his wife, Shamma Rushafy Abantee, dancing at a family event has gone viral on social media, drawing widespread attention and discussion online.
Speaking to the media following the circulation of the clip, Abantee clarified that the footage was taken at a cousin’s wedding ceremony and not part of any planned performance.
She explained that the couple participated informally in the celebrations, adding that the dance was spontaneous and not rehearsed. According to her, they wore outfits provided by the family for the event and did not work with designers or follow any formal arrangement.
Abantee also shared that their child joined them briefly during the celebration, which added to the informal nature of the moment.
Responding to online discussions about her identity, she said she is comfortable being referred to as Siam Ahmed’s wife and expressed pride in the role, while noting that she is also engaged in business and marketing work.
Addressing speculation about a potential film career, Abantee said she is not currently interested in entering the film industry, citing personal priorities and family responsibilities.
She added that although she had earlier opportunities, her family had advised against pursuing acting at the time.
