BNP has nominated Rezaul Karim Badsha as its candidate for the Bogura-6 constituency in the upcoming by-election, following Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s decision to relinquish the seat.
Badsha, who serves as president of the Bogura district unit of BNP, was finalised as the party nominee on Thursday.
The development was confirmed by Bogura-4 BNP lawmaker Md Mosharraf Hossain.
BNP media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan also verified the information.
In a Facebook post, he said Rezaul Karim Badsha received the party’s final nomination as the BNP candidate for Bogura-6 (Sadar) from the party chairperson’s political office in Gulshan.
The Bogura-6 seat was vacated after Tarique Rahman stepped down, clearing the way for the by-election.
