BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman on Saturday exchanged views with families of victims of enforced disappearances and killings.
The event was held at the Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Centre in the capital, organised by Amra BNP Poribar and Mayer Dak around 11:30am.
Families of victims from the previous government’s tenure attended the event, where relatives appealed for the return of their loved ones and demanded fair justice from the government.
Tarique Rahman attended the programme as the chief guest. BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed, Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Treasurer Rashiduzzaman Millat, BNP Chairperson’s Adviser Tahsina Rushdir Luna, Assistant Secretary for Mass Education Affairs Anisur Rahman Talukder Khokon, National Executive Committee member Hummam Quader Chowdhury, Amra BNP Poribar convener Atikur Rahman Ruman, and Mayer Dak coordinator Sanjida Islam Tuli were also present.
According to the organisers, the meeting was arranged to hear the experiences and statements of families affected by enforced disappearances and killings, and to reaffirm the commitment to stand by them.
