According to Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Traffic division sources, in Motijheel, a total of 262 cases were filed over traffic-related violations, including against 31 buses, 15 covered vans, 56 CNGs, and 124 motorcycles.
In Wari, a total of 106 cases were filed, including against 15 buses, 6 trucks, 9 covered vans, 14 CNGs, and 23 motorcycles. In Teigaon, a total of 156 cases were filed, which included 8 buses, 3 trucks, 7 covered vans, 42 CNGs, and 69 motorcycles. In Mirpur, a total of 177 cases were filed, including 14 buses, 3 trucks, 10 covered vans, 15 CNGs, and 110 motorcycles.
In Gulshan, a total of 309 cases were filed, including 23 buses, 2 trucks, 12 covered vans, 30 CNGs, and 158 motorcycles. In the Uttara Division, a total of 205 cases were filed, including 38 buses, 3 trucks, 10 covered vans, 32 CNGs, and 77 motorcycles. In Ramna, a total of 40 cases were filed, including 4 buses, 1 covered van, 6 CNGs, and 13 motorcycles.
In the Lalbagh, a total of 116 cases were filed, including 4 buses, 1 truck, 1 covered van, 15 CNGs, and 76 motorcycles. Additionally, during the operations, a total of 281 vehicles were dumped and 82 vehicles were wrecked.
These cases were filed by DMP-Traffic after conducting operations in various areas of the capital on Saturday.
DMP’s Traffic division has stated that its operations to maintain traffic discipline in the Dhaka metropolitan area will continue.
