Dhaka Capitals assistant coach Mahbub Ali Zaki has died after collapsing during a practice session, the club and medical officials confirmed on Sunday.
Zaki fell ill while conducting training and collapsed on the ground, prompting immediate medical attention from those present. CPR was administered at the scene before he was admitted to hospital for further treatment.
Earlier, the club said updates on his condition would be shared following a doctor’s assessment. His death was later confirmed by Bangladesh Cricket Board doctor Debashish Chowdhury, who confirmed the news to Daily Times of Bangladesh.
The Dhaka Capitals did not provide further details at the time of publication.
