After being elected as a director of the Cricket Board, singer Asif Akbar has faced controversy over a statement he made about the country’s football and footballers. His remarks angered sports fans across the country. Popular actor Omar Sunny reacted to this on social media.

Recently, Asif was asked by a presenter about a comment Omar Sunny had made in a podcast. In response, Asif called Omar Sunny simple, a person who sells pressure and a man ruled by women. He also spoke critically about Sunny’s personal life, although he attempted to soften the remarks by saying “I love him” at the end of his comments.

Omar Sunny did not take the remarks lightly. In a video message posted on his Facebook page on Monday morning, he issued a strong response to Asif. Sunny said, “I did not personally defame him. I did not say a single word about his family or personal life. I only spoke about the chair. But he talked about my personal life on television, which is unacceptable.”

He went on to say, “Asif, go and ask Moushumi where I stand. You do not need to talk about anyone’s personal life. Talk about me, talk about football, talk about the chair, but not about family.”

At one point in the video, he raised his hand and addressed the singer directly, saying, “Did you see the hand? Today I’m in Dhaka. If you have the courage, come forward and speak.”

Finally, Sunny said, “Do you have any personality? Moushumi, can you stand and speak in front of me? Be good, be polite. Allah has given you respect, so hold on to it.”
