A 25-year-old man was found dead with his throat slit in the Belgachi area of Chuadanga municipality on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Sohel, son of Asabul Haque of Bakcharpara in Belgachi.
Md Shahidur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said locals spotted the body in a field of the village in the morning and informed police.
Acting on the information, police recovered the body and sent it to the local hospital morgue for autopsy.
Asabul Haque, father of the deceased, claimed that Sohel had a dispute with someone over a trifling matter in the locality and was killed due to enmity.
Police are investigating the incident.
