The government has postponed a training workshop on maintaining law and order, which was scheduled for Wednesday, as part of preparations for the upcoming 13th national election.

The training workshop, titled “Integrated Role in Maintaining Law and Order for Holding a Fair Election” was scheduled to be held at the Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Centre in Dhaka.

A notification regarding this was issued by Md Shimul Akhtar, deputy secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, on Tuesday.

The training workshop was set to be attended by the heads of various departments under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Divisional Commissioners, Metropolitan Police Commissioners, Range DIGs, District and Sessions Judges, Deputy Commissioners and District Magistrates, Chief Judicial Magistrates, Chief Metropolitan Magistrates, Police Superintendents, District Election Officers, one Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) from each district, and Officers-in-Charge (OCs) of different police stations.
