Celebrity chef Guy Fieri is recovering from a serious leg injury sustained during filming of his Food Network series ‘Flavor Town Food Fight’, prompting the production team to adapt their plans.
In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Fieri described tripping on a set of stairs, resulting in a severe tear in his quadriceps. “I slipped down a set of steps… my whole quad muscle exploded,” he said. The injury required immediate surgery to prevent further damage.
The accident occurred mid-filming, with 125 people on set. “We figured out how to pivot through it and use some creative filming techniques,” Fieri explained, praising the team’s flexibility.
The chef, known for his energetic persona, will be off his feet for around eight weeks and is currently using a wheelchair and crutches while recovering at his ranch.
Despite the setback, Fieri remains optimistic, noting he is enjoying the outdoors and taking time to recuperate.
