Police have arrested seven fugitives from various locations in Chuadanga Sadar Upazila early Friday morning in connection with several separate cases.
Acting on the instructions of Chuadanga Superintendent of Police (SP) Ruhul Kabir Khan, a special police team led by Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chuadanga Sadar Police Station, Delowar Hossain, conducted drives across different areas of the upazila to apprehend the suspects.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Milon Mollick (38), son of the late Abdus Sattar of Sumitdia village; Nasir Uddin (43), son of Abul Hossain of Majherpara area; Rahela Khatun (35), wife of Rafiqul Islam of Machher Dari village; Rekha Begum (37), wife of Hazrat Ali of Nofor Kandi village; Monju (45), son of the late Babur Ali of Nurnagar Colonipara; Sanjib Kumar (38), son of Prodip Kumar of Mohila College Para; and Saon Ali (36), son of Abdul Mannan of Alokdia village.
OC Delowar Hossain confirmed the arrests, stating that the individuals were named in existing court cases and had been absconding for a long time
