Three more children have died from measles symptoms while receiving treatment at Rajshahi Medical College (RAMC) Hospital in the past 24 hours. During the same period, 23 new children were admitted with similar symptoms.
Shankar K Biswas, the hospital’s media spokesperson and in-charge of the emergency department, confirmed the information on Wednesday.
He stated that in the last 24 hours, 23 children were admitted to the hospital with symptoms of measles, while 10 patients were discharged after recovering. Sadly, three children succumbed to the symptoms during their treatment.
Currently, 133 patients are undergoing treatment at RAMC Hospital for measles symptoms. Since the outbreak, a total of 452 patients have been admitted to the hospital, with 46 deaths reported thus far.
