At least three people were killed and around 10 others injured when a passenger bus lost control and crashed in Noloka area of Kamarkhand upazila in Sirajganj on Friday morning.
Their identities could not be confirmed immediately.
The accident occurred at around 11:30am on the Jamuna Bridge west link highway.
Amirul Islam, officer-in-charge of Jamuna Bridge West Police Station, said a bus of Busra Enterprise, was travelling from Rangpur to Mymensingh via Bogura when it reportedly lost control and slammed into the Horgati Bridge, leaving three passengers died on the spot.
Police and emergency responders rushed to the scene and rescued the injured, were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Authorities said an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
