The 11th death anniversary of the late Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed (Ifti), renowned entrepreneur, social worker, and founding Chairman of Raj Overseas Limited and the Bonanza Group of Companies, will be observed on Friday, 2 October.
To mark the occasion, his family has arranged Quran recitation, dua, and food distribution among orphans, reads a press release.
These programmes will be held at various mosques and orphanages in his ancestral area of Fatikchhari in Chattogram, at five orphanages in Kaliganj, Dhaka, and at orphanages and mosques in Uttara and other areas.
Additionally, on the initiative of the Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed (Ifti) Smriti Parishad, cooked food will be distributed at Dhanmondi Taqwa Mosque; Mohammadpur Baitul Falah Islamia Madrasa and Orphanage; Darul Ulum Baitul Jannat Madrasa and Orphanage; Bhanga Mosque; Miftahul Ulum Cadet Madrasa; and Madinatul Ulum Islamia Madrasa in Mohammadpur, as well as among underprivileged people.
Quran recitation and dua will be offered after Jumma prayer at the mosques and orphanages.
On behalf of the family, Aneek Intesar Ahmed, President, and Hasan Manzur, General Secretary of the Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed (Ifti) Smriti Parishad, have requested the relatives and well-wishers of the deceased to join the milad and dua mahfil.
