Iran’s parliament speaker and chief negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has declared that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the United States satisfies Tehran’s requirements.
He noted that Washington put forward several proposals through an intermediary after Tehran outlined a seven-day framework to reopen the strategic passage.
However, Ghalibaf emphasised that the US must realise the period of imposing one-sided demands and delaying tactics has passed, describing Iran’s stance as explicit and firm, reports Al Jazeera.
He confirmed that the Strait of Hormuz will not be reopened until all seven stipulations based on the Islamabad Memorandum are fully fulfilled.
