Zonayed Saki, chief coordinator of Ganosamhati Andolon, has outlined a plan to transform Banchharampur into a model for the entire nation.
Speaking at an election rally at Maulaganj Bazar in Banchharampur, Brahmanbaria, on Friday, Saki shared his vision for the development of the region, emphasising quality education, healthcare, employment opportunities, and infrastructure.
Addressing the gathering, Saki, who is also a candidate for the Brahmanbaria-6 constituency, said, “Our goal is to turn Banchharampur into an example for the rest of Bangladesh. We plan to foster a favorable environment for investment, improve public services, and ensure the welfare of every citizen.”
Saki stressed the importance of providing better access to education and healthcare for the people of Banchharampur, while also creating job opportunities for youth to tackle unemployment.
He highlighted his plans for large-scale infrastructure projects, including the construction of Meghna Bridge, which will improve connectivity in the region.
The Ganosamhati leader also envisions developing a thriving investment and tourism sector to stimulate local economic growth.
In addition to infrastructure and economic development, Saki emphasised social issues such as protecting the rights of expatriates, securing fair shares for farmers, workers, and laborers, and ensuring a safer environment for women.
“We are committed to addressing the issues that matter most to the people of Banchharampur. With these initiatives, Banchharampur can lead the way in sustainable development,” Saki stated.
The rally, which was part of the campaign for the 13th National Parliamentary Election and the referendum, was attended by several prominent political figures.
Former Banchharampur MP and BNP National Executive Committee member MA Khalek, along with BNP leaders Rafiq Sikder and Zia Uddin Zia, were present.
Ganosamhati Andolon Banchharampur Upazila Coordinator Shameem Shibli, central committee members Mehedi Hasan Miraj and Group Captain (retd) Khaled Hossain, and Golam Mostafa, convener of the Bangladesh Jubo Federation were also present among others.
The event was chaired by Mehedi Hasan Palash, president of Banchharampur Upazila BNP, and moderated by VP AKM Musa, general secretary of Banchharampur Upazila BNP.
