A24’s upcoming feature ‘The Drama’, starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson, is beginning to take shape ahead of its 2026 release. The studio has unveiled fresh details about the film, including a first-look poster and confirmation of an expanded cast.

The Drama will open in cinemas on April 3, 2026. Directed and written by Kristoffer Borgli, whose Dream Scenario earned wide critical praise, the project brings together two of Hollywood’s most bankable stars for a psychological relationship story.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film follows an engaged couple whose wedding plans descend into turmoil when revelations upend their assumptions about one another. A24’s promotional poster teases the tension, showing Zendaya seated on Pattinson’s lap with an engagement ring prominently displayed beneath a caption modelled on a save-the-date card.

In a notable addition to the cast, musician and actor Alana Haim has joined the production, marking her first major role since her Golden Globe-nominated performance in Licorice Pizza. Her role remains undisclosed.

The film is being produced by Ari Aster, Lars Knudsen and Tyler Campellone under the Square Peg banner, which has previously backed Hereditary, Midsommar and Borgli’s Dream Scenario. With A24 once again collaborating with Borgli, industry observers are watching the film closely as anticipation builds.

Further details are expected in the coming months as the project moves through production.
