Actor Yash Rohan and Tanjim Saiara Totini star in Shalik Balika, a new television drama written and directed by Mahmud Mahin. The drama will air on Maasranga Television on Friday, 10 July, at 10:30pm.
The story follows Sumaiya, a Class 10 student at Uzirpur High School. Known as the school’s most beautiful girl, she is lively, outspoken and admired by many. Although she receives countless proposals from admirers, she has never accepted any of them. Her focus changes after Ayon joins the school as a new mathematics teacher.
From the moment he enters the classroom, Sumaiya cannot take her eyes off him. She believes he is exactly the kind of man she has always imagined and falls in love with him at first sight.
Ayon quickly builds a friendly relationship with his students. After class, Sumaiya repeatedly approaches him, claiming she needs help with mathematics. Her real intention, however, is to spend time with him. Unable to hide her feelings any longer, she eventually tells Ayon that she loves him. Surprised by the confession, Ayon asks her not to think that way, but Sumaiya refuses to give up.
To stop her persistence, Ayon tells Sumaiya that he will only consider her proposal if she studies seriously and achieves good results. Until then, he says, he will not speak to her. Sumaiya accepts the challenge and begins concentrating on her studies. After achieving excellent examination results, she rushes to share the good news with Ayon, only to discover that he is nowhere to be found.
