Xiaomi has expanded its AIoT portfolio in Bangladesh with the launch of three security cameras — the Xiaomi Smart Camera C201, Xiaomi Smart Camera C301 and Xiaomi Outdoor Camera CW100 Dual — featuring artificial intelligence-based detection, high-resolution imaging and finance-grade encryption.
The devices, now available nationwide, are designed for home and workplace monitoring with privacy-focused features, including physical lens shielding, encrypted communication and secure cloud architecture. Xiaomi Bangladesh said the new lineup aims to provide safer and more reliable surveillance solutions for families, businesses and professional users.
The Xiaomi Smart Camera C201 leads the indoor range with 1080p Full HD video recording, local AI-powered human and pet detection, 360-degree panoramic coverage and enhanced infrared night vision. It also includes a physical lens shield that allows users to manually block the camera when visual privacy is required.
The Xiaomi Smart Camera C301 offers improved image quality with 2K (3MP) resolution, capturing footage at 2304 × 1296 pixels. The camera comes with AI-powered human detection and dual-gimbal rotation, providing 360-degree horizontal and 107-degree vertical coverage for wider monitoring.
The C301 also features physical privacy mode, encrypted communication and secure cloud architecture, making it suitable for households, offices, retail outlets, clinics, professional service firms and organisations where protecting sensitive footage is a priority.
The Xiaomi Outdoor Camera CW100 Dual is designed for outdoor surveillance with a dual-lens system that provides wider coverage. It delivers 3MP imaging with Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), smart full-colour night vision, AI-based human and vehicle detection, virtual-fence alerts and an active audio-visual alarm system.
The outdoor camera has an IP66-rated weather-resistant design and can operate in temperatures ranging from -30°C to 60°C, allowing reliable monitoring in different weather conditions.
Ziauddin Chowdhury, Country General Manager of Xiaomi Bangladesh, said in a press release that rising adoption of smarter lifestyles in Bangladesh has increased demand for advanced security solutions.
“The rapid adoption of smarter lifestyles in Bangladesh has driven a strong demand for advanced home security. True security today means protecting data just as much as monitoring spaces,” he said.
Chowdhury said the introduction of the three cameras would bring encrypted data transmission and privacy-focused design to a wider group of users, including families, small businesses and clinics requiring protection of sensitive footage.
The new camera range is built around Xiaomi’s connected smart lifestyle ecosystem and includes the MJA1 security chipset for enhanced protection against hacking attempts. The devices also support secure two-way voice communication, customisable privacy settings, finance-grade encryption and remote monitoring through the Xiaomi Home app.
The Xiaomi Smart Camera C201 is priced at Tk3,099, while the Xiaomi Smart Camera C301 costs Tk4,899. The Xiaomi Outdoor Camera CW100 Dual is available for Tk6,000.
All three products are available at authorised Xiaomi Stores across Bangladesh.
Xiaomi officially launched operations in Bangladesh on 17 July 2018 and has since established itself as one of the leading smartphone brands in the country. The company was founded in April 2010 and was listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2018.
