The World Women’s Summit 2026 will recognise 20 women leaders from Bangladesh and the diaspora later this month, as organisers position the event as a platform to showcase female leadership and social impact.
The summit, presented by Dubayt and jointly organised by Arthakantha and Business America Magazine in collaboration with NRB World, is scheduled to be held on 31 March at Sheraton Dhaka in Banani, according to a press release.
The event will coincide with International Women’s Day celebrations and carry the theme “Women Rise, Women Win — Let It Shine Across the World”, highlighting the role of women in driving economic and social change.
As part of the programme, the World Visionary Women’s Award 2026 will be conferred on 20 individuals across sectors including business, entrepreneurship, innovation and community development.
Organisers said the recognition builds on Arthakantha’s 26-year legacy of highlighting contributions by women shaping industries and communities both at home and abroad.
The summit will also feature the unveiling of a special edition of Business America Magazine titled “100 Most Influential Bangladeshi Women Across the Globe”, aimed at profiling global Bangladeshi female leaders.
The programme includes panel discussions on cross-border leadership, education and skills development, and women’s wellness, alongside remarks from policymakers, business leaders and invited guests.
Other segments include an award ceremony, cultural performances, networking sessions and exhibition stalls supporting women entrepreneurs.
The event is expected to bring together participants from government, academia, business and the diaspora, reflecting a broader push to position Bangladesh’s women leaders on a global platform.
