Walton has introduced its new 5G smartphone, Xanon X22 5G, in Bangladesh’s affordable handset segment, aiming to capture growing demand for mid-range devices with advanced specifications.
The launch, announced through a press statement, comes as the company expands its Xanon series with upgraded connectivity, imaging and performance features for local consumers.
The device comes with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX752 primary camera, a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G processor built on 6 nanometre architecture, and a 6.8-inch U-notch IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Walton Mobile Chief Business Officer Abu Zahid said in a press statement that the model is available in Obsidian Grey and Zenith Green, priced at Tk25,999 excluding VAT, and will be sold through Walton Plaza, NexG brand shops, distributor outlets and online platforms.
The smartphone runs on Android 16 and uses LPDDR5 memory technology, offering up to 16GB rapid memory support and ARM Mali-G610 MC2 graphics, while internal storage is 128GB expandable up to 512GB via microSD card.
It also includes 630 nits HBM brightness, a 6.8-inch IPS display with 120Hz refresh rate, and a feature set designed for gaming, browsing and streaming performance, according to the company.
On the rear, the device carries a triple camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel Sony IMX752 main sensor, a 2-megapixel macro lens and an 8-megapixel selfie camera with PDAF support, along with multiple shooting modes including night, pro video, slow motion and macro, and 2K EIS video recording.
Powering the device is a 6000mAh high-capacity battery with 18-watt Type-C fast charging, while additional features include IP64 dust and water resistance, dual microphone active noise cancellation and side-mounted fingerprint scanning.
The handset also offers software-based functions such as netless mode, chat features, dynamic window, app clone, anti-theft touch mode and hidden apps, the company said.
Walton added that the smartphone is manufactured at its own facility and comes with a 30-day replacement policy alongside a one-year after-sales service warranty.
