vivo has launched the Y500 smartphone in Bangladesh, opening pre-orders from 8 July to 13 July with exclusive gifts and financing benefits, the company said in a press release. The device is aimed at users seeking prolonged connectivity for work and entertainment, with an 8,100mAh BlueVolt battery that vivo describes as the largest in its segment.
Customers who pre-order the handset will receive a limited-edition vivo × MINISO gift set comprising a Penpen Doll, a phone cover and two exclusive stickers. The Bangladesh-only package also includes up to nine months of 0% EMI, an 18-month warranty, Silver Membership and a data bundle, subject to terms and conditions.
According to vivo, a full charge can support as much as 19 hours of continuous Zoom meetings or 35 hours of video playback. The Y500 also features reverse charging and bypass charging.
The company said the ultra-thin battery technology was designed to retain 80% of its capacity after 1,600 charging cycles, providing reliable battery health for as long as six years.
The handset features a 6.83-inch 1.5K Infinity AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and peak brightness of as much as 5,000 nits. It also comes with dual stereo speakers and an Eye Protection Mode intended to provide a comfortable viewing experience.
The Y500 is powered by a six-nanometre processor that records an AnTuTu benchmark score of 680,000, according to the company. The configuration is designed to support intensive gaming, multitasking and everyday applications.
The phone is available in Pearl White, inspired by the soft glow of pearls, and Midnight Blue. Its design combines a Nebula Window Camera Module with a slim metallic frame.
For durability, the device offers IP69 Underwater Photography and an Anti-Drop Armor Design. Its camera system comprises a 50-megapixel Sony main camera and a 32-megapixel front camera.
The smartphone also includes artificial intelligence-powered photography tools such as AI Erase 2.0, AI Retouch and Change Sky.
vivo said the combination of battery capacity, performance features and pre-order benefits was intended for customers who require a device capable of supporting prolonged daily use.
