For most Miss India finalists, life after the pageant might mean photoshoots, events or a possible move into showbiz. For Umanga Kumawat, it meant heading straight back to her desk at Google, reports Hindustan Times.

The engineer, who represented Madhya Pradesh and finished among the top 20 at Miss Universe India 2026, recently offered a glimpse of her everyday routine at Google’s Bengaluru office through a candid ‘day in my life’ video shared on Instagram on 14 September.

Just weeks after stepping onto one of India’s biggest pageant stages, Umanga began her day much like any other working professional. At around 9:30 am, she picked out a black top and bright red trousers, packed her laptop sleeve, backpack and earbuds, and headed to the Google campus.

Her first stop, however, was not her desk. By 10:30 am, she was at the office gym, where she spent time on the treadmill before doing stretches and leg exercises. After a quick outfit check, she got ready to begin her workday.

By 12:30 pm, the pageant finalist had swapped the gym for her workstation. With her laptop open and notebook beside her, Umanga settled into her regular corporate routine, working through documents and tasks.

Lunch arrived around 2:10 pm, with the Google cafeteria offering a wide selection including biryani, fresh fruit and desserts. Umanga opted for a bowl of noodle soup with greens.

She returned to work at 3 pm before changing locations at 4:30 pm. This time, she moved to a quiet lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the campus and continued working from there.

At 5:30 pm, Umanga took a coffee break at the company’s tea and coffee bar, ordering a hot drink through an interactive kiosk. By evening, she was in the lift and heading home.

Her video offers a glimpse of a side of pageant life that is rarely seen. While she recently represented Madhya Pradesh on a major beauty pageant stage, Umanga continues to work as an engineer at Google.

Rather than leaving her professional career behind after the competition, she has returned to her regular routine — balancing the glamour of pageantry with the everyday rhythm of a corporate job.
