Their relationship remained a subject of discussion even after Raj married actress Subhashree Ganguly, leading the former couple to maintain some distance for years.
After nearly 12 years, Raj and Mimi are now set to work together again. Their last project was the film ‘Katmundu’.
Despite the changes in their personal lives over the years, they are reuniting professionally for a new thriller titled ‘Tandav’.
Mimi recently announced the project on social media by sharing a new look while holding a clapboard bearing the title ‘Tandav’.
Dressed in a green kurta, she caught fans’ attention with her mysterious expression and intense gaze.
She did not reveal further details and simply used the hashtag #Tandav in the caption.
Subhashree surprised fans by commenting on Mimi’s post. The actress and Raj’s wife wrote, “Super happy.”
Her spontaneous reaction quickly became a talking point, given the history surrounding Raj and Mimi’s past relationship.
According to reports, Mimi will appear in a completely different avatar in ‘Tandav’. The thriller may also feature her in action sequences.
She has previously attracted attention for unconventional roles in films such as ‘Queens’ and ‘Daini’, and fans are now curious to see her look and character in the new project.
The makers have not yet revealed details about the story or release date.
Raj married Subhashree in 2018. Over the years, Mimi and the couple have also developed a cordial relationship, with Mimi reportedly sending gifts for Raj and Subhashree’s children on different occasions.
Meanwhile, speculation surrounding Mimi’s marriage has recently intensified in Indian media and on social media.
Several reports claim that she may get married in December, although neither Mimi nor her family has officially confirmed the reports.
