Police have tightened security following incidents of cocktail explosions and arson attacks on a bus at several points in the capital.
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said 200 checkpoints have been set up across the city.
Police officials were seen checking the documents of people in the vehicles on the roads.
On Friday, a wave of cocktail explosions hit nine areas across Dhaka city, leaving a rickshaw puller injured in Jatrabari. The blasts occurred in Malibagh, Agargaon, Mohakhali, Jatrabari, Babubazar, Bongo Bazar, Gulistan, Moghbazar, and Mouchak.
According to police and eyewitnesses, the first incident took place after Jummah prayers on Friday afternoon, when two cocktails exploded near the Shohag Paribahan counter adjacent to Malibagh Railgate.
