Newly appointed United States Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent Christensen is scheduled to meet with Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin on Wednesday.
The meeting is set to take place at 12pm at the CEC’s office in the Nirbachan Bhaban, Agargaon, in the capital. Mohammad Ashraful Alam, the Private Secretary to the CEC, confirmed the schedule on Tuesday.
According to Election Commission (EC) sources, the bilateral meeting is expected to cover the contemporary political landscape and the country’s upcoming general elections.
Ambassador Christensen arrived in Dhaka on 12 January to assume his duties. He is serving as the 19th US Ambassador to Bangladesh.
