Zonayed Saki, the chief coordinator of Ganosamhati Andolan, has advocated for the introduction of universal healthcare cards to guarantee health services for every citizen.

He made these remarks on Saturday during a yard meeting at Nizkandi village under Phardabad union in Bancharampur upazila.

Saki stated that his participation in the election is dedicated to the future of children, with the aim of ensuring they receive a quality education and grow into skilled, capable, and humane individuals. “Universal health cards must be created to ensure health for everyone,” he said.

Elaborating on the proposed system, he explained that a Universal Health Service (UHS) must be established so the state can provide medical treatment to any citizen who falls ill. He noted that while this would require specific regulations and public participation, the state must take responsibility for health, of which medical treatment is a vital part.

Furthermore, Saki emphasised that health is not limited to medical treatment alone; it also requires preventative measures. He argued that soil, water, air, rivers, canals, and the overall environment must be conserved to ensure public well-being.

“Everyone has a life, everyone’s rights must be paid, and everyone’s rights must be established,” he added.

Zonayed Saki is contesting the Brahmanbaria-6 seat as a candidate of the BNP, Ganosamhati Andolan, and the simultaneous movement. Campaigning with the ‘Mathal’ (straw hat) symbol, he has been visiting households across the area, where he has reportedly received a warm welcome and support from the general public.

Reflecting on his motives, Saki remarked that he has no personal desires and is focused on the future of Bancharampur and the entire country. He asserted that he has no interests separate from the greater interests of the people.
