Meghmollar Bosu, former president of Bangladesh Chhatra Union and central council member of National People’s Action (NPA), has been placed on life support at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
He was put on life support at around 7:30pm on Wednesday.
DMCH Director Brigadier General Md Asaduzzaman confirmed the development, mentioning that Bosu’s condition had been deteriorating since Tuesday afternoon, prompting doctors to transfer him to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) before placing him on life support on Wednesday evening as medical treatment continues.
Earlier, at around 12:30am on Monday midnight, Bosu was rescued in an ill state from the gate area of Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka.
Acquaintances subsequently brought him to DMCH, where he was admitted and treated in Ward No. 602. Hospital sources said his stomach was washed due to suspicion of poisoning.
