With a view to strengthening academic cooperations, research collaboration and cultural exchange between University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) and Technology Normal University (JXSTNU) of China, the two universities signed a signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Monday.
The agreement establishes a framework for collaboration in scholarly exchange, joint research and development, academic and study programmes, and cultural interaction, creating new opportunities for students, faculty members and researchers at both institutions, said a press release.
The MoU was signed by Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange at JXSTNU Shen Guihua, and Vice-Chancellor of ULAB Shamsad Mortuza.
The JXSTNU delegation included Deputy Dean of the School of Civil Engineering Tong Zhineng, and Associate Professor at the School of Civil Engineering Zhou Xiaoting.
The ULAB delegation included Pro Vice-Chancellor Jude William Genilo; Special Adviser to the Board of Trustees and Treasurer Milan Kumar Bhattacharjee; Registrar Lt Col Md Foyzul Islam (Retd); as well as deans, faculty members and heads of administrative offices.
According to the university, the agreement marks a step towards strengthening institutional ties between the two universities while promoting greater academic collaboration and international engagement, the press release added.
