The government has transferred 22 senior officers of Bangladesh Police in a fresh administrative reshuffle.
The Ministry of Home Affairs issued separate notifications on Tuesday announcing the reassignments.
Signed by Deputy Secretary Tausif Ahmed of the Police-1 Branch under the ministry’s Public Security Division, the directive comes into immediate effect.
Under the new order, Mohammad Enamul Haq, previously serving as Supernumerary Additional Police Commissioner of Sylhet, has been appointed as Additional Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Armed Police Battalion (APBn) and Specialised Training Centre in Khagrachhari.
Concurrently, Paritosh Ghosh, DIG of the Khagrachhari APBn and Specialised Training Centre, has been transferred to serve as DIG at the APBn (Hill Tracts Districts) Office.
In the capital, Highway Police DIG Habibur Rahman Khan has been reassigned as Commandant (DIG) of the TDS in Dhaka.
Additionally, Mohammad Anisur Rahman, additional DIG of the Special Branch (SB) in Dhaka, has been posted to the Khulna Range DIG Office as Additional DIG.
The reshuffle also moves personnel previously attached as Officers on Special Duty (OSD) at the Ministry of Home Affairs- Md Gias Uddin Ahmad, an additional DIG serving as an OSD, has been attached as Additional DIG at the Rangpur Range DIG Office; Mohammad Jasim Uddin, superintendent of police (SP) serving as an OSD, has been attached as SP at the Rajshahi Range DIG Office.
The government notifications also outline transfers and new postings for several other senior police personnel across various ranges and operational units.
