At least two people were burnt after a fire broke out in a five-storey building in Narinda following an air conditioner explosion late on Thursday.
The injured were admitted to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
A Fire Service headquarters control room duty officer said the blaze originated from an air conditioner explosion on the third floor of the building.
Two Fire Service units were dispatched to the scene after receiving the report.
However, the fire was brought under control with the help of local residents before firefighters arrived, he said.
Several people sustained burn injuries in the incident, and two of them were rushed to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery by locals for treatment.
