A delegation, led by Turkish Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs A. Beris Ekinci, held a meeting with Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman at his office at Bashundhara in Dhaka on Monday.
During the meeting, they held discussions on expanding trade and investment, enhancing humanitarian cooperation, and deepening diplomatic engagement.
Both sides emphasised the need for strengthening bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Turkiye. Jamaat Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar revealed the information while briefing the media after the meeting.
Beris Ekinci expressed Turkiye’s keen interest in increasing investments across various sectors in Bangladesh. Turkish Ambassador to Bangladesh Ramis Sen along with four senior officials attended the meeting.
