Train communication between Dhaka and northern districts has returned to normal after a 22-hour suspension caused by derailment of the Nilsagar Express.
The rail service resumed on Thursday afternoon after the damaged train had been cleared from the tracks earlier in the day, according to media reports.
Full schedules for northern-bound trains are expected to return by Friday.
The disruption began around 2pm on Wednesday when nine coaches of the Dhaka–Nilphamari Nilsagar Express derailed at Santahar in Bogura, leaving many passengers injured.
