Iran has demanded compensation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), accusing it of facilitating US attacks on Iranian territory, according to a letter sent to the UN Secretary General by Tehran’s UN Ambassador.
The letter, reported by Nournews on Thursday, stated that the UAE’s decision to allow its territory to be used for the strikes constituted “an internationally wrongful act that entailed state responsibility.”
Ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani conveyed Tehran’s position that the UAE bears international responsibility to provide reparation, including compensation for all material and moral damages incurred.
