Toyota Bangladesh Limited representatives recently met Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Chairman Ashik Chowdhury to discuss the sustainable future of Bangladesh’s automotive industry.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the overall development of the automotive sector, with emphasis on long-term growth, sustainability and improving the business environment, the company said in a press release.
The discussion covered policy support, investment prospects and measures needed to strengthen the industry in line with the country’s economic priorities.
The company officials said they remain committed to contributing to Bangladesh’s evolving mobility landscape through innovation, operational efficiency and responsible business practices.
Toyota Bangladesh is a 100% subsidiary of Toyota Tsusho Asia Pacific and Toyota Tsusho Japan.
BIDA Chairman welcomed the engagement of the Japanese automobile giant in Bangladesh and said the authority supports sustainable investments that enhance industrial capacity and promote environmentally responsible growth.
The meeting reflected the shared interest of both parties in building a resilient and future-ready automotive sector in Bangladesh.
