During a bilateral discussion with Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani, Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain emphasised the critical need for peace and stability in the Middle East.

The meeting took place on the margins of the 21st IISS Manama Dialogue in Bahrain on Saturday, according to a press release from the foreign ministry.

Adviser Touhid Hossain praised Bahrain’s positive role and its diplomatic initiatives aimed at encouraging regional unity and facilitating international discourse.

He stated Bangladesh’s eagerness to collaborate with Bahrain to further common goals and enhance partnership in fields of joint interest.

The Foreign Adviser also reiterated Bangladesh’s desire to hold the next session of Political Consultations in Dhaka in 2025 and invited the Bahraini FM to head his nation’s delegation on a visit to Dhaka.

Adviser Hossain is participating in the proceedings and associated events of the 21st Manama Dialogue, a forum that has gathered senior international figures, diplomats, and policymakers to deliberate on pressing security issues affecting the region and the world.
