Production on ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ has been temporarily paused after Tom Holland sustained a mild concussion while shooting in Glasgow.
Filming was suspended on Friday as the actor received medical treatment. A source close to the production confirmed Holland is taking a short break “as a precaution” but is expected to return to set within a few days.
According to The Sun, the injury occurred during a stunt sequence that went wrong. Despite the setback, Holland was seen attending a charity event over the weekend with his co-star and fiancée Zendaya, suggesting his recovery is already underway.
No other members of the cast or crew were affected. Production executives are set to meet tomorrow to revise the filming schedule.
Sony has scheduled Spider-Man: Brand New Day for release on July 24, 2026, having unveiled the title earlier this year at CinemaCon.
The film is directed by ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton, with long-time Spider-Man producers Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige once again on board.
Zendaya reprises her role as MJ, while Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas join the cast in yet-to-be-revealed parts.
