A three-day science fair was held at Milestone College to enhance the skills of students in science and technology education. The fair for young scientists is organised by Milestone College Science Club. The fair is under the supervision of the club’s moderator, Vice-Principal Mizanur Rahman Khan, according to a press release.
The science fair was inaugurated by Milestone College Principal Mohammad Ziaul Alam on the morning of 18 November. On the second day of the fair, the chairman of MNRS Trust, Mamtaz Begum visited the research projects of the students as the guest of honor.
A prize distribution and cultural programme was organised on the closing day of the science fair on 20 November. Founder and advisor of Milestone College Colonel Nurun Nabi (Retd) was present as the chief guest at the programme.
Principal Mohammad Ziaul Alam, Vice Principal (Administration) Md Masud Alam and Executive Principal of Milestone Preparatory KG School Rifat Nabi Alam were present as special guests.
The science fair organised at the Kamaluddin Seminar Hall of the permanent campus of Milestone College in Diabari, Uttara. 1500 students of classes IX, XI and XII participated in this fair and exhibited more than 100 research projects.
About 20,000 people including teachers, students, and guardians visited the fair.
