TECNO has launched its SPARK 50 Pro smartphone in Bangladesh on June 18, 2026, introducing a mid-range device featuring IP68/IP69 protection, a 6000mAh battery, Sony LYTIA camera system and AI-powered functions, said in a press release. The device, unveiled by the AI-powered technology brand TECNO, targets users seeking durability, long battery life and advanced imaging at an affordable price point in the country’s competitive smartphone market.
The SPARK 50 Pro was officially announced in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and is now available at authorised TECNO outlets and retail partners nationwide. Pricing for the device starts at BDT 26,999, subject to VAT, positioning it in the upper-entry to mid-range smartphone segment. TECNO said the handset is designed to combine flagship-level durability and performance features with AI-enhanced productivity tools for everyday users.
The company said the SPARK 50 Pro expands its SPARK Series by integrating features rarely seen in its category, including full IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance with protection for submersion up to six metres. It also includes SGS Five-Star Premium Drop Resistance and 360-degree drop protection, along with a T Guard Protection security system designed to improve device resilience against accidental damage.
TECNO said the durability focus reflects increasing consumer demand for rugged smartphones capable of withstanding challenging environments. The SPARK 50 Pro is positioned as the most protected device in the SPARK lineup to date, combining water resistance, structural reinforcement and security features in a single model.
Powering the device is a 6000mAh battery paired with 60W Super Charging technology, aimed at reducing charging time while maintaining extended usage capability. TECNO said the battery has been engineered for long-term performance, retaining more than 80 per cent of its original capacity after over 1,900 charging cycles, supporting sustained daily use over several years.
On imaging, the SPARK 50 Pro features a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 600 FlashSnap main camera designed to capture detailed images across varied lighting conditions. An 8-megapixel front-facing camera supports selfies and video calls. The company said the camera system is optimised for portraits, travel photography and social media content creation, supported by TECNO’s imaging enhancement technologies.
The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate processor, designed to support multitasking, gaming and streaming. It is offered in two memory configurations: 24GB RAM (8GB physical RAM combined with 16GB extended RAM) and 18GB RAM (6GB RAM plus 12GB extended RAM), alongside 128GB of internal storage.
The SPARK 50 Pro features a 6.78-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, aimed at delivering smoother visuals and improved scrolling performance. Audio is supported by dual speakers with DTS Sound technology and all-scenario noise cancellation for clearer communication and enhanced media playback.
TECNO said the device runs on Android 16 and integrates a suite of AI-based features under its TECNO AI ecosystem. These include one-tap summarisation, AI FlashMemo, AI WhatsApp Assistant, AI problem solving tools, AI writing assistance, AI health assistant and AI smart scheduling functions. The company said these tools are intended to improve productivity, communication and personal organisation for users.
The device also includes FreeLink 2.0 connectivity and Touch Transfer compatibility with iPhone, enabling cross-device communication and file sharing across different ecosystems. TECNO said these features are designed to enhance interoperability and simplify user experience in mixed-device environments.
According to the company, the SPARK 50 Pro represents its continued focus on integrating artificial intelligence with accessible smartphone hardware, particularly for younger consumers and emerging market users. It added that the device aims to deliver a balanced combination of performance, durability and smart functionality within its price category.
TECNO said the SPARK 50 Pro is now available across Bangladesh through authorised retail channels, marking its latest effort to expand its footprint in the country’s growing smartphone market. The company also encouraged consumers to access additional product information via its official Bangladesh website and social media platforms.
The launch reinforces TECNO’s broader strategy of competing in the mid-range segment by offering feature-rich devices that blend durability, performance and AI-driven software capabilities tailored to everyday use cases.
