Community Bank Bangladesh PLC signed an agreement with Flora Systems Limited on June 16, 2026 to implement an advanced Islamic core banking solution aimed at strengthening its Shariah-compliant banking operations through modern technology, said in a press release. The agreement was signed at the bank’s head office in Police Plaza Concord, Gulshan, Dhaka, in the presence of senior officials from Community Bank, Flora Systems and Police Headquarters.
The contract was signed by Shamsul Haque Sufyani, Managing Director (Current Charge) of Community Bank Bangladesh PLC, and Subodh Kumar Bhowmick, Chief Technical Officer of Flora Systems Limited. The partnership is designed to enhance the bank’s Islamic Banking Wing through an integrated, technology-driven platform supporting end-to-end digital operations.
According to the bank, the new system will enable fully Shariah-compliant banking services while improving operational efficiency and supporting real-time transaction processing. It is also expected to strengthen digital banking capabilities, enhance Shariah-based fund management, and accelerate investment and deposit processing across the Islamic banking division.
The platform is further designed to improve transparency, reinforce data security, and support more efficient service delivery for customers using Islamic banking products. The bank said the system will play a key role in modernising its service infrastructure and expanding its digital footprint.
Community Bank Bangladesh PLC said the initiative reflects its continued commitment to growing its Islamic banking operations while delivering secure, efficient and technology-enabled financial services. It added that the upgrade aligns with its broader strategy of adopting digital solutions to improve customer experience and operational resilience.
Senior officials from Community Bank Bangladesh PLC, Flora Systems Limited and Police Headquarters attended the signing ceremony, underscoring institutional collaboration in the implementation of the project.
