The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) unveiled its Coffee Table Book titled “Legacy in Motion” at a ceremony held on 17 June 2026 at the ICAB Auditorium, CA Bhaban, Kawran Bazar, Dhaka, said in a press release. The publication captures the institute’s historical journey, professional milestones and contributions to the development of the accountancy profession in Bangladesh.
The book was formally launched at the ICAB auditorium in the presence of Vice Presidents, council members, past presidents, distinguished members and invited guests. ICAB President N K A Mobin FCA unveiled the cover of the publication and highlighted its significance in documenting the institute’s legacy and professional achievements.
Speaking at the event, N K A Mobin FCA said the Coffee Table Book reflects ICAB’s heritage, professional excellence and commitment to public interest. He added that it documents key milestones of the institute and aims to inspire future generations of chartered accountants to uphold integrity, competence and leadership in the profession.
Ala Uddin FCA, Chairman of the Editorial Board and Council Member of ICAB, also spoke at the programme, emphasising the institute’s contribution to the development of the accountancy profession and its role in supporting the national economy.
The event began with a welcome address by Mohammad Moin Uddin Riad FCA, Convener of the Members Affairs Committee of ICAB and Council Member. Parveen Mahmud FCA, Past President of ICAB, also addressed the gathering, reflecting on the institute’s professional journey and impact.
The Coffee Table Book presents a historical record of ICAB’s evolution, highlighting leadership contributions, institutional achievements and transformative initiatives since its establishment. Through photographs, archival materials and narratives, the publication documents the institute’s continuing role in nation-building and professional development.
Alongside the book launch, ICAB also inaugurated its Strategic Digital Transformation Initiatives, aimed at modernising institutional infrastructure and enhancing service delivery for members and students.
The initiatives include infrastructure modernisation, the CA Connect mobile application, Professional Clearance Automation system ClearPath, Document Verification System DVS upgrade, Smart Enroll for student registration automation, Experience Hub for professional experience records and CPD 360, an automated continuing professional development platform.
ICAB said the digital transformation projects are designed to improve efficiency, transparency and accessibility across its professional ecosystem, supporting members, students and stakeholders through integrated digital solutions.
