The deadline for candidates to withdraw from the Thakurgaon-1 by-election ends on Wednesday, with election symbols set to be allocated on Thursday.
Election Commission officials said voting in the constituency will take place continuously from 8am to 4pm on 29 October.
The commission published a list of valid candidates in a notification on 29 September.
The valid candidates are Mirza Faisal Amin of the BNP, Delwar Hossain of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Md Abdul Alim Nizami of Bangladesh Khelafat Andolan, Md Khademul Islam of Islami Andolan Bangladesh and Hussain Muhammad Omar Faruq of Bangladesh Congress.
Akhtar Ahmed, senior secretary of the EC Secretariat, said the constituency had 507,203 voters during the 13th national election held on 12 February.
Following the recent inclusion of new voters, the electorate has risen to 515,525.
The Thakurgaon-1 constituency fell vacant after its elected member of parliament, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, assumed office as President.
