Independent candidate Tasnim Jara has been allocated the “football” symbol for contesting the upcoming 13th national election.
Tasnim Jara, a former leader of the National Citizen Party, is contesting the national election from the Dhaka‑9 constituency.
She has shared this information in a Facebook post. She collected the symbol from the returning officer on Wednesday.
She regained her candidacy on 10 January after an appeal hearing regarding the cancellation of her nomination, when the Election Commission declared her nomination valid.
On 29 December, Tasnim submitted her nomination paper to the EC with signatures from nearly 5,000 voters.
She resigned from her position as senior joint secretary of the NCP on 27 December due to controversy following her alliance with Jamaat‑e‑Islami and other like‑minded parties.
