BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman has inquired about the health of Nurul Haque Nur, according to a press statement.
On Monday, at 6:45pm Bangladeshi time, Tarique Rahman called the President of Gono Odhikar Parishad Nurul Haque Nur and inquired about his health.
The matter was confirmed by Gono Odhikar Parishad’s Secretary General Rashed Khan to the media. He said that BNP’s acting chairman had called Nurul Haque Nur, who is currently undergoing treatment in Singapore, and inquired about his health and treatment.
Tarique also wished for Nurul Haque Nur’s complete recovery.
Earlier, on 29 August, Nur was severely beaten by members of law enforcement agencies in front of his party office in Bijoynagar, Dhaka. He was initially receiving medical care at Dhaka Medical College Hospital before being sent to Singapore for advanced treatment.
