Prime Minister Tarique Rahman arrived in China on Monday evening on a four-day official visit at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang.

The special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the prime minister and his spouse, Zubaida Rahman, landed at Dalian International Airport at 10:55pm local time (8:55 pm Bangladesh time).

Upon arrival, the prime minister was received by Liaoning Province Vice Governor Bai Ying, Chinese Ambassador to Dhaka Yao Wen, and other senior Chinese government officials.

During the state visit, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will participate in high-level bilateral meetings and discuss Bangladesh-China relations, trade, investment, infrastructure development, and various issues of mutual interest.

The visit is expected to further strengthen the existing friendly relations between the two countries, with both sides looking to deepen cooperation in key sectors.

The prime minister’s delegation includes senior government officials and business representatives. The visit comes as Bangladesh and China continue to expand their partnership in infrastructure, energy, and trade.
