With every FIFA World Cup or major international football tournament, showbiz personalities often rally behind their favourite teams. Some celebrate on social media, while others make public promises if their preferred side wins. Actress Tanjin Tisha, however, says she does not link her personal life to football results.
Speaking in an interview about the Argentina national football team, Tisha said she supports Argentina, but the team’s victories or defeats have nothing to do with her marriage.
“I know people may say I support Argentina and Argentina have won. But I did not even post a photo wearing the team’s jersey. I have said many times that I support Argentina because my father supported the team. That is why I support them too,” she said.
During the conversation, the actress was asked whether she would get married if Argentina won the title. The question appeared to surprise her.
Responding directly, Tisha asked, “What does Argentina have to do with marriage?” Her straightforward remark has already sparked discussion on social media, with many praising her candid response.
Recently, actress Pori Moni wrote in a social media post, “If Argentina win the cup, I’ll get married again.” The comment quickly went viral and generated widespread discussion online.
Against that backdrop, Tisha was asked a similar question. She made it clear that an important personal decision such as marriage has no connection with the result of a football match.
While reaffirming her love for Argentina, Tisha stressed that personal life decisions should not be tied to sporting outcomes. Her remarks have since been widely shared on social media and have sparked fresh discussion among fans.
